I am excited to begin a new year here at Diamond Canyon! Second grade is full of many great, engaging activities that will help your child achieve their highest potential. Throughout the year we will be broadening our knowledge in various areas, such as math, reading, science, and social studies. As we continue throughout each unit, we will be participating in various large group, small group, partner and individual work that best suits the task at hand. We will also be purposeful with grouping as we mix and switch classes to meet all students' levels and challenge all to meet and exceed standards. It is my personal hope that I am able to not only increase your students'knowledge in the classroom, but also their understanding of the world around them. I am most excited about making lifelong friends and connections with each student.
