Dear Trailblazer Family,I’m Kenneth Akeley, the Principal of Vista Peak. I am excited to be a member of this great school community, and I look forward to all of the challenges that come with our mission of providing all students with academic, social and emotional growth. I also look forward to meeting all of the Vista Peak students and families.
The 2023-2024 school year will mark my twenty-third year in education. In my 23 years, I have been a classroom teacher, behavioral interventionist and a principal in a neighboring school district.
Outside of work, my family and I enjoy spending time together. I have a daughter who will start her junior year in the Deer Valley school district. We enjoy lots of activities together such as playing golf, rooting for my favorite sports teams (especially the NY Yankees), and trying out new hiking trails with our dog, Sarge.
It is with a strong commitment that I am joining Vista Peak and the Deer Valley School District. Together, we can ensure that we are all learning and growing for our number one priority. I am looking forward to a great year!Sincerely,
