• OC Eagle Accounting

    O'Connor is the only campus in our district that offers Accounting to our students. Our program is a three year program** that takes students through the basics of business organization, fundamental accounting principles, business financial statements, and payroll and taxes. 

    **Students are not required/locked in to all three years. 

  • Intro Accounting

    This course is designed to help students understand basic accounting principles and procedures.  Students will learn and apply the accounting concepts necessary for financial record keeping and decision making in a small business using hands-on activities.

    Dual Enrollment:

    This course is available for dual enrollment credit through Rio Salado. The course name is ACC115. 

     

  • Advanced Accounting

    In this course, students will expand upon accounting principles and procedures through business simulations covering accounting tasks and financial analysis. This course is strongly recommended for students planning to major in business in college. Passing this course meets the 4th credit math requirement for graduation.

    Certifications:

    Students will use QuickBooks and have an opportunity to sit for the QuickBooks Certified User Exam and QuickBooks Pro Advisor Certification.

  • Accounting - VITA

    In this course, students will expand upon advanced payroll and tax accounting principles and procedures through simulations and case studies. Students will engage in the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program and will pursue basic and advanced IRS VITA tax preparation certification.

  • Syllabus Acknowledgement:

    In an effort to save trees, I do not send home printed copies of the syllabi. The syllabus for each course can be found above, or on the Canvas page for the course. 

    Students must have a parent sign the Parent Letter verifying they have showed you the syllabus and you all understand the information included there. The signed letters are to be turned in electronically to Canvas. Letters can be signed in hard copy and a picture submitted, or signed electronically using Adobe or Notability.
