Hi! My name is Ms. DeVriendt and I will be your child's 5th grade social studies teacher this year. I am ecstatic that I get to spend my 8th year teaching as a part of the Sonoran Foothills family.
After graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Oakland University, I decided to move from my home in Macomb, Michigan to this beautiful state of Arizona and I could not be happier with my decision! I student taught in a 4th grade classroom, substitute taught for all ages, and have been a classroom teacher in 4th and 5th grade in the Deer Valley School District.
Again, I am looking forward to a school year full of learning opportunities, not only for your child, but for me as well! It is my mission to instill a love of learning in all my students. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
