Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year!

This is my 17th year teaching middle school Math.  I am so happy and proud to be teaching at Sonoran Foothills. Our students are hard workers who truly push themselves to grow and learn in Math class.

7th Grade Math is the foundation for high school Math and beyond! Students need a deep understanding of why and how 7th grade Math works in order to make connections in the upper Math classes. In my class you will see students engaged in class work through a variety of strategies that challenge each individual at the appropriate level. My goal is for each student to become more confident in their Math skills/ability and become logical thinkers.

Parents are also an important part of their success. We are all a team.

Please communicate with me any questions or concerns by email: Hylari.Villamar@dvusd.org

    Materials needed for Math class:

1.) TI30 Calculator- will be using this year and next year in 8th grade Math

2.) 1 inch binder for Math curriculum/practice materials

3.) Different colors- highlighters, pens, colored pencils, markers-up to your kid!
