    Mrs. Anna Backstrom, M.Ed

    Mrs. Backstrom serves 香港六合彩资料 as the K-12 Fine Arts, Physical Education, and Health: Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment Specialist.

    Anna Backstrom started her teaching career in 2005. She began teaching at Foothills Elementary in the Peoria Unified School District. Next, she taught at Stetson Hills as the Music Specialist for the Deer Valley Unified School District in 2010 and stayed until May 2018. In the fall of 2018, she became the Choral Director and Piano Lab Instructor at Sandra Day O'Connor High School. She earned a Bachelor of Music Education degree from the College of Education at Mississippi State University, and a Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University. Her certifications and endorsements include Standard Professional Secondary Education: 6-12 Music, Music: PreK-12, and Structured English Immersion: PreK-12.  

    Anna is an advocate for all arts, health, and physical education. She believes in partnering with the community to assist in creating impactful students and teachers. She has served on the Arizona Music Educators Association board . She currently serves the City of Phoenix as one of the commissioners of the for District 1. She is the interim chair of the on the Arts for the Arizona Department of Education. She is also a member of the for the Arizona Department of Education.  

    Anna lives in the 香港六合彩资料 community with her husband, Ryan, and two children, Daphne and Will. Ryan is a P.E. teacher and Health instructor at Boulder Creek HS. Daphne and Will both attend Stetson Hills School.
