Ms. Jayme Fitzpatrick

Jayme Fitzpatrick has been a prominent figure in the field of Career & Technical Education (CTE) since 2005. She holds a Master's degree in CTE from Northern Arizona University, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management. Jayme's journey in CTE began as a dedicated educator, where she taught Business and Marketing at Deer Valley High School and also served as a passionate DECA advisor.

Today, as the CTE Administrator, Jayme plays a pivotal role in shaping the educational landscape within the Deer Valley Unified School District. This district caters to approximately 10,000 high school students, spanning five comprehensive high schools and offering an impressive array of twenty-one Career and Technical Education Programs. Additionally, the district provides access to over 25 programs through the Western Maricopa Education Center (West-MEC), further enriching the educational opportunities available to students.

Jayme Fitzpatrick's commitment to the field of CTE extends beyond her role as an administrator. She is a steadfast member of both the Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE) and its Arizona affiliate, ACTE AZ. Her dedication to the advancement of CTE administrators is evident in her five-year tenure as the Secretary of the ACOVA board, representing Arizona ACTE AZ. Prior to this role, Jayme served as a member-at-large. She also had the honor of being an ACTE National Fellow in 2019 and served as a mentor to fellow educators, contributing to the growth and development of CTE leaders nationwide.

Furthermore, Jayme serves as the Chair of the Marketing committee for ACTE Region V and holds the esteemed position of Region V Representative in the Administration Division of the national ACTE. Her active involvement in CTE administration also includes a five-year tenure, including serving as President, with Arizona Marketing Educators, another vital ACTE affiliate.

Jayme Fitzpatrick's outstanding contributions to Career and Technical Education have not gone unnoticed. She has received numerous accolades, including the prestigious title of 2021 ACTE AZ Administrator of the Year. In 2020, she was honored as the ACTE New and Related Services Administrator of the Year for Career Academies and also received recognition as the 2020 Arizona DECA Administrator of the Year. These accolades underscore her dedication to enhancing CTE opportunities for students and her exceptional leadership in the field.
