Student athletes are required to maintain good standing grades (A-D). Grade checks are every Thursday at 8 am. If a student has a F in any class they are in pending status. Once the student raises their grade and the teacher emails the Athletic Coordinator, the student is no longer in pending status. If at the following grade check the student has a F in any class without getting off of pending status, the student is now ineligible. If a student is ineligible, they are not able to participate in games or travel with the team. It is coach's decision if the student participates in practices. The student will no longer be on ineligible status when the teacher emails the Athletic Coordinator of the improvement of grade. If at the following grade check, and the student is not off of ineligible status and the student has a F in any class the student will no longer be on the team. If the team earns a banner, their name will not be included.

Student athletes must attend at least half of their instructional minutes of school to participate in games, practices or any other related team after school or during the school events (pictures, team events, ect.). For questions about what half the day of instructional minutes is for your child, if they must miss part of the day, email the school registrar. Sonia.Blomgren@dvusd.org
