• Welcome to Kindergarten!

Why is Terramar the best choice for kindergarten?

    • Every kindergarten teacher is certified and highly qualified with an early childhood endorsement.
    • We plan a balanced school day with academic rigor while nurturing the other developmental needs of kindergartners.
    • Reading instruction is systematic and aligned with the science of reading.
    • Academic progress is monitored in professional learning communities, and students are supported with tiered interventions, such as working with reading specialists.
    • Music, Art and PE classes are taught on a rotation.
    • We take art-focused field trips throughout the year.
    • Students participate in multiple music performances.
    • We love our upper grade role models, but kindergarten students are primarily in their own learning space.
    • Parent volunteers can help in the classroom.
    • Weekly newsletters and emails keep families informed.

    • 6 Expo whiteboard markers (Black only)

    • Scissors (blunt tip)

    • 15 Elmer’s glue sticks (Please do not buy the “jumbo” ones; these are hard to open for little hands)
