Mrs. Debby Kidwell

Prior to joining Deer Valley Unified School District, Debby Kidwell worked in the hospitality industry in a wide variety of positions at individual hotels and resorts as well as in corporate level director roles. With more than 15 years of leadership, marketing, and management experience, she also owned her own company serving companies like Starwood Hotels and Resorts with a $70 million initiative for process improvement using Six Sigma and DMAIC frameworks.  As a facilitator for Covey’s “Seven Habits of Highly Effective People”, Mrs. Kidwell had the opportunity to dig deep and discover a life mission, which was teaching youth. She returned to ASU to complete a degree in Secondary Education and Business Education finishing her degree in 2007. 

Most recently, Mrs. Kidwell worked at Barry Goldwater High School teaching Marketing, Information Management, and Web Development.  During more than a decade at BGHS, she led the development of an active Career Student Organization (DECA) where the chapter and students received numerous awards at the state and international level along with a student-based enterprise (The Dawg Shack) for work-based learning, the BGHS Car Show (raising monies for the Bulldog Pride Scholarships), and the annual CTE Department Group 香港六合彩资料 Outreach for the holidays. 

In her current role as Curriculum Assessment and Instruction Specialist, she enjoys supporting teachers in the quest to develop students as the next generation of the workforce. Problem-solving, analyzing situations, and designing solutions fuel for her passion to help 香港六合彩资料 CTE programs be EXTRAORDINARY.

Mrs. Kidwell just concluded a 7-year term as the Secretary for the Desert Southwest Camping Board of Camping Ministries, which oversees camps in Arizona and Nevada and will begin a term as a member of the steering committee for the Arizona CTE Curriculum Consortium in August 2020.  In the past, she has served on the Arizona Marketing Educators Board as well Chair for the Arizona DECA Executive Board. In 2014-15, she was recognized by DVEF as Teacher of the Year.
