I am delighted to be the Reading Specialist at The Traditional Academy at Bellair. Let me introduce myself. My name is Michele Balsamo. I grew up near Chicago. GO BEARS! I served in the United States Air Force for four years. I am married and have three daughters. I began teaching in Japan. I also taught in China, California and Florida. I am proud to be a Deer Valley Teacher of the Year 2016! Scuba diving, boating, hiking, and reading are my hobbies. I know teaching is the best profession on the planet!
