Thank you for visiting my website. I have been teaching in the Deer Valley School district since 1984, and have taught a variety of classes and different grade levels.  I began teaching in a self-contained special education class at Bellair for the first 2 years of my career. Over the next  30 years at Bellair I taught first grade for 4 years, third grade for 8 years, fifth grade for 7 years and special education on and off in between. I retired and came back to the district part time, first as an RTI behavior specialist, but was asked to take over a sixth grade class. I did so, and then went back to being a Special Education teacher for a few years before teaching fourth grade.  I am very excited to be working with your child or children this year. I graduated from Arizona State University (go Sun Devils!) in 1984 with degrees in Elementary Education and Special Education. I received my Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from NAU in 2006. I am a native to Arizona and have lived in Phoenix most of my life. I have two daughters and three grandchildren that keep me busy. In my spare time I love being with my family and being active outdoors. I enjoy working with all kinds of students and seeing their success and progress. I am looking forward to working with you to obtain the best possible experience for your child.
