Degrees and Certifications:

Mr. Roskelley

I knew I wanted to be an educator when I was a sophomore at Roseville High School, near Sacramento, CA. I received my Bachelors of Arts in History Teaching from Brigham Young University. I taught in Youth Corrections in Utah County and coached baseball at Provo High School for two years before receiving my first certified teaching contract in Pagosa Springs High School in SW Colorado. I taught United States and World History, Government, Economics, and PE during my three years at PSHS. I also served as Head Baseball Coach and Assistant Varsity Girl's Basketball Coach. I moved to Mesa to attend Arizona State University and earned my Master of Education degree in Educational Administration and Supervision. I worked at Tempe Accelerated High School as a teacher for five years and an assistant principal for three. I moved my wife and family north to Page, AZ to work at Page High School as an assistant principal for ten years. I have now been back in the valley since 2014 at Deer Valley High School and have found a home I am passionate about.
