Miss Lauren Streeter

Lauren Streeter is the Performing Arts Director at Desert Sky Middle School in the Deer Valley Unified School District. Lauren received her degree at Northern Arizona University for Music Education and has also received a masters degree in Educational Leadership. She is currently in her sixth year of teaching middle school band and has taught high school marching band for eight years, where she is currently working with Deer Valley High School. She has brought her students to the ABODA Area Festival, where her groups have received Excellent ratings. Lauren has also had students participate in middle school All-State Band and District Honor Band. As for high school, she has worked with high school bands that have been named top 8 in the ABODA State Marching Championships.

Lauren Streeter has also taught private flute lessons for grades 5-12 for 5 years and has had students become part of regional and all-state band for their respective grade levels. She has also worked on an orchestra club and has been involved with choral programs. She loves working with students and builds great rapport with all students. Lauren is always full of enthusiasm and is passionate about teaching.

Lauren Streeter is also an alumnus of Tau Beta Sigma, a National Honorary Band Sorority, where she has served in numerous positions for her chapter and district, including Western District Vice President for Membership and Western District President. 

Lauren has a corgi name Belle, enjoys country swing danging, and lives off of Starbucks Coffee. She is so excited to be a part of Desert Sky Middle School and Deer Valley High School!
