• Class Expectations

香港六合彩资料 Pathways Summer Course is an "in-person" learning experience.

Students are encouraged to bring a snack and/or sack lunch (if students are completing both blocks during the day), as the campus cafeteria will closed for the summer.

Students are expected to arrive on time with all materials (if possible):

    - Pencil/ Pen (I recommend the G2 Frixion Erasable Pens in black or blue)

    - Erasers

    - Expo Dry Erase Markers

    - 2 inch binder to organize notes/practice

    - Highlighter

-Highly recommend TI-84 Plus graphing calculator for this class and beyond. I will provide one for each student in-class and we will use it everyday!

Students are encouraged to ask questions, participate in discussions, and complete assignments daily prior to the end of our class.

This is a 4 week course with 3.5 hour classes equivalent to a 16-week semester. All students must attend class each day. One day missed is equivalent to 2-4 weeks of class during the school year.

Students can only be absent 2 days per semester during the program before being dropped. Any missed time must be made up within 24-48 hours.

We meet at Barry Goldwater High School May 30th-June 23rd:

    Tuesday-Friday from 12 pm to 3:30 pm  for Algebra 1 and 3:45-7:15pm for Algebra 2 (May 30-2nd)

    Monday-Friday from 12 pm to 3:30 pm  for Algebra 1 and 3:45-7:15pm for Algebra 2 (June 5th-23rd)

     Student Work Expectations
Many of our students are in the “recover credit” bucket, therefore, have seen the material in a prior classroom setting. Each student is expected to attend the daily scheduled class for the full 3.5 hours. Student work is to be completed in class as teacher planning will allow for pockets of time for students to complete assignments, assessments, projects, and presentations.
香港六合彩资料 Pathways students are not given homework at the end of a class period. When creating the lesson plan, teachers are carving out pockets of time for students to complete tasks and assignments during the 3.5 hour class period. Should a student “choose” not to complete assignments in class during the allotted time, the student is creating their own home work through the choice being made nightly.
I caution teachers on consistently extending class room time for students to complete tasks for the evening. This only fosters a “lack of urgency” in completing assignments, does not utilize class time efficiently which ultimately leads to less curriculum covered for the evening, the week, the seven week enrollment period.
Students are not to work ahead on assignments, nor complete their home school “homework” during the Pathways’ session.
The focus of the Pathways’ class is to provide the district rigor expectation for high school students along with a little over planning per class to ensure students are focused, understanding, and practicing the content presented in the 香港六合彩资料 Pathways class.
