Mrs. Courtney Hoit
Hello students and families,
My name is Mrs. Hoit. I began teaching 8th grade mathematics at Diamond Canyon in 2017. Summer of 2020 I am teaching Algebra 2 with the pathways program. Beginning fall of 2020 I will be teaching Algebra 1/2 at Mountain Ridge High School. Previous to teaching I worked in finance for 8 years. My love of education, children, and mathematics brought me to teaching. I find it important time to instill a love of learning and an appreciation for math before students finish high school. I truly believe that each child is unique and has great potential to be successful in their endeavors.
I received my bachelors of science in elementary education from the University of Phoenix. I am certified in elementary and secondary education and highly qualified to teach middle school and high school mathematics. I am currently working on my masters degree at the University of Phoenix. In my free time I enjoy hiking, boating, camping, and other outdoor activities with my husband and our two Australian shepherds.
