Welcome to my website at Sunset Ridge.  My name is Jo Anne George and I will be your preschool child’s Speech-Language Pathologist.  I am looking forward to a fantastic year with new and returning preschoolers!  I work directly with students through the Developmental Preschool Programs; as well as, with campus speech students.

I moved to Arizona with my husband and two children in July of 2014 from Albuquerque, NM and I began working with the Deer Valley Unified School District in the Fall of 2015.  I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Communicative Disorders from the University of New Mexico in 1994, my Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from New Mexico State University in 1998 and have maintained my ASHA certification since 1998.

I have two children, Austin and Azriel.  My son, Austin, has graduated from high school.  My daughter, Azriel, is in high school, where she is active in her show choir.  In my free time, I enjoy hiking and taking walks with my husband and our dog (Chloe), spoiling my son's cat (Marty), traveling and spending time with family and friends.
