• Welcome to Pathways

Geometry 1-2  includes geometric skills and concepts and strengthens the student’s ability to construct formal logical arguments and proofs in a geometric setting. Emphasis is placed on contextual learning through problem solving and real-life applications.

Algebra 3-4 includes the study of functions (linear, absolute value, quadratic, polynomial, rational, radical, exponential, logarithmic, and trigonometric), sequences, series, statistics, and probability. All math courses are designed to meet the requirements of the Deer Valley Mathematics Curriculum, Arizona State Standards and National Council of Teachers of Mathematics standards.

By the end of this class, each student will:

    - Integrate reading and writing into the math curriculum

    - Be able to use the tools of estimation and mental math

    - Use technology and visual models as aids in understanding math content

    - Apply mathematical problem solving strategies to solve problems from within and outside mathematics.
