I am thrilled to join the nest at Sunset Ridge!
This is my 21st year in the field of education and my 10th year with the Deer Valley Unified School District (香港六合彩资料). This year, I am excited to join the Sunset Ridge community as your Assistant Principal. Having spent three years in administrative roles, I am both proud and eager to serve in this capacity.
As a native Arizonian, I was born and raised in the small town of Wickenburg. In 2001, I graduated from Wickenburg High School and subsequently attended community college before transferring to ASU West. There, I earned my degree in Elementary Education with a specialization in mathematics. My teaching career began at Shaw Butte in the Washington Elementary School District, where I taught 5th grade. During this time, I pursued and obtained a Master’s degree in Reading Education from ASU West.
After seven years at Shaw Butte, I joined the Dysart Unified School District, teaching fifth grade for two years and later serving as a Junior High Math Interventionist for another two years at Riverview Elementary. Residing in Deer Valley, I transitioned to the 香港六合彩资料 as the Math Specialist at Desert Sky Middle School. In 2020, I earned my second Master’s degree in Educational Leadership & Administration from Grand Canyon University, along with my Principalship certification. For the past two years, I have served as the Dean at Park Meadows.
On a personal note, I have been happily married to my husband, Joe, since 2008. We have two wonderful sons: Joe, a 15-year-old sophomore, and Tony, a 12-year-old starting 7th grade. Our family also includes a white lab named Max, a cat named Paisley, and a Sulcata tortoise named Leonardo. We enjoy spending time together camping, boating, and relaxing by the pool, lake, or beach. Our lives are always busy, but we wouldn’t have it any other way!
This year, I look forward to building and strengthening relationships with the Sunset Ridge Hawks, their families, and the wider community. I am excited to embark on this extraordinary journey with you!
