Hello,

My name is Dan Hinton. My family moved to the Phoenix area in 2015.  I earned my Bachelor of Science in Education with a Phys. Ed. and Health major, from , in Minot, North Dakota.  I began my teaching career at Minot High School, in Driver Education(2011), and transitioned to Phys. Ed. and Health(2013).  In Minot, I was also the Head Coach for the girls high school swim team, and an assistant coach for the high school boys swim team.  I have coached for Minot High School since 1997.  We were fortunate to have won many state titles and to have had many individual state champions.  I also coached at the middle school level in swimming, track and field, and basketball.

I have always enjoyed participating in sports, and physical activity.  My experience includes participation in many different sports.  Athletics taught me how to be cooperative, yet competitive.  It taught me to be a team player. I was taught respect, responsibility, and patience through these experiences.  I feel it is important to set a good example for our students, especially at the elementary and middle school levels.  I hope to give the students the same positive experience that I was given through my athletic experiences and physical education class.
