Mrs. Shelby Gibson
My name is Shelby Gibson. This will be my ninth year as a Reading Specialist at Park Meadows, and my 22nd year teaching altogether. The previous 13 years I had the privilege of teaching kindergarten for ten years, as well as 2nd and 3rd grade prior. I graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in early childhood. I have my Masters in Elementary Education with a Reading Specialist endorsement from Northern Arizona University. I also received my Gifted endorsement in 2012.
I live at home with my husband Chuck and my 14 year old son Jaxen and our dog Nacho! We love doing things together as a family. The majority of our time is spent traveling and cheering on our son in BMX racing! He is 2nd in state right now for his age group and we couldn't be prouder of him!! We love to travel, camp, ride our dirt bikes and go on RZR rides up North at our cabin. In my free time I love to paddle board and kayak, play board games and watch movies and I LOVE to read - it is my escape to relax.
I am looking forward to working with your child this year and helping him/her to achieve their full potential.
