    Welcome Students and Parents

    Welcome to your ELA course! As part of Aspire Deer Valley Online School, I look forward to us having a wonderful year working together.  It is my goal for every student to be able to communicate effectively in their school, community, and personal life. We will be working on the communication skills of reading, writing, listening, speaking, viewing, and presenting. The middle school courses focus on reading and writing through the means of personal investigation, examining various writing styles, and analysis of texts and authors.  Classes are writing and reading intensive in order to advance each student’s skills.  The year will require students to do a higher level of thinking than ever before and I am excited to see everyone succeed.

    Phoenix Hour (additional support and academic intervention)

    Virtually on Zoom: Mondays and Wednesdays 2:15-3:30

    In-Person @ Innovation Center: Tuesdays and Thursdays 2:00-3:30
