• State Testing Information

     

    Dear Aspire Families,

    Each year our calendars will have days listed beginning the month of March for required state testing in grades 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 11th grade. Participation in state testing is required by the state for students to remain enrolled in an Arizona Online Instruction Program. Administration wants to ensure that we begin the messaging now regarding upcoming Spring testing for our full-time students. We will work to create a safe testing environment for our students.     As part of the A.R. S. 15-808: Pupils who participate in Arizona online instruction are subject to the testing requirements prescribed in chapter 7, article 3 of this title. On enrollment, the school shall notify the parents or guardians of the pupil of the state testing requirements. If a pupil fails to comply with the testing requirements and the school administers the tests pursuant to this subsection to less than ninety-five percent of the pupils in Arizona online instruction, the pupil shall not be allowed to participate in Arizona online instruction. Students who do not participate in state testing are subject to losing their open enrollment status at Aspire, Deer Valley's Online Academy for the 2023-2024 academic year.
