My name is Lisa Schwartzstein and I am very excited to be joining the staff at Canyon Springs. I am originally from New York City and have been teaching for 29 years. I attended Arizona State University for my undergraduate degree and earned my masters from Long Island University. I love being a teacher and consider myself very fortunate to have a career that makes me truly happy and also enables me to help others.

I have been married to my husband Matt for (almost) 22 years and we have two children. My daughter Piper is going to be a freshman in HS, and my son Andy is going to be a senior in HS. We have three dogs named Indiana, Marlee, and Pepperoni, and a tortoise named Jeff. I am an animal lover and support local rescues whenever I can. When I'm not at school (or planning for school), I enjoy reading, growing plants, gardening, and making jewelry. I am looking forward to a wonderful year of teaching and learning.
