Mrs. Gina M. Hills, M. Ed.
This August, I will begin my 21st year as an educator. Originally from Crown Point, Indiana, I have lived in Arizona for 13 years now. I am a proud graduate of Indiana University where I earned a degree in Elementary Education. My teaching career began in Lowell, IN where I taught first grade and second grade. In 2009, I earned my Master's Degree in Educational Administration from Purdue University. I also obtained my Administrator's License that same year. In 2011, I moved to Arizona and began teaching in the Madison School District, where I gained experience teaching grades 1st, 2nd, and 4th. During this time, I also obtained my Arizona Administrator's Certificate. This will be my 3rd year teaching here at Canyon Springs, and I am thrilled to be teaching first grade!
When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband Paul, our daughter Gianna (10), our son William (9), and our son Benjamin (7). My family loves the outdoors, off-roading, and attending sporting events, especially if it involves the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Cubs!!
I am also an avid runner and have completed 17 marathons. I love to share every race experience and medal with my students to demonstrate the importance of living a healthy lifestyle, striving to accomplish your dreams, and seeing your goals through! I eagerly look forward to a wonderful school year with my students, their families, and my first grade team.
