Mrs. McDonald

Hi! My name is Erika McDonald, and I am so excited to be your 4th/5th grade reading teacher! We are going to have a fantastic year!

I graduated with my Bachelor's Degree from the University of Arizona in 2001 and later earned my teaching certificate from ASU. This will be my 8th year at Gavilan Peak, both teaching and coaching Cross Country.

My husband and I moved to Phoenix from Flagstaff 20 years ago, and we have lived in Anthem for the past 8 years. We have two children (both attended Gavilan Peak) and two dogs. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, trail running, sailing, and reading. 

I am looking forward to a wonderful year filled with learning, friendship, and adventure!
