Ms. Kristina Shoger
Hi! My name is Ms. Shoger, and I am your Third grade ELA and Social Studies teacher. This is my eleventh year at Gavilan Peak, and my eighteenth year of teaching third grade. I have also taught three years of fourth grade. This is my twenty-first year of teaching!
I was born and raised in Arizona, and have degrees from Arizona State University and Northern Arizona University (M.Ed.). My son is also a graduate of Northern Arizona University, majoring in Management and Finance. He is a Program Finance Analyst for an aerospace and defense company.
One of my favorite subjects to teach is Reading. I love that in third grade we shift from “Learning to Read” to “Reading to Learn”. Third graders also get to study Arizona History. State 48 is unique and we will enjoy learning about our state, together.
It is going to be an exciting year. I look forward to getting to know each one of you!
