Mrs. Lisa Byers

My name is Lisa Byers and I am so excited to be a part of the New River Family.

I was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. I moved to Arizona when I was 15.   I graduated from ASU with a bachelors and masters degree in Elementary Education.   I started my teaching career in 2000.  My teaching career began in the Dysart School District teaching 2nd grade.  In 2005 I joined the Deer Valley School District.  This will be my 19th year teaching in 香港六合彩资料.  I have taught 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade, and this will be my 5th year as a reading specialist.

My husband Brandon and I have been happily married for 20 years.  I am the proud mother of two wonderful children; Madison and Ryan.  My son will be a 11th grader at Deer Valley High School this year.

My family and I love spending quality time together ......mostly just enjoying each others company.  During the summer we travel to visit family and spend a lot of time at the lake.  Sometimes the whole crew will go on a vacation to see new sites.

One of my favorite things to do with my free time is read.  I am an avid book reader so I spend a lot of time reading over the summer and during the school year (when I have time).  I continually strive to help my students become the best readers they can be, and to develop their own love of reading.

I am really looking forward to working with your children this school year.  I believe that with your support this will be a very successful year.
