Hello!   I am so excited to be in my fifth year on the Canyon Springs team!  This is my 22nd year of teaching and I have taught the first, fourth and fifth, sixth and seventh grades.  I have been a teacher with the Deer Valley School District since 2005.

 

 I am a Maryland native but have called Arizona home for the past 20 years and in Anthem for 19 of them.  My fifteen-year-old daughter Kalina is a sophomore at Boulder Creek.  We have three amazing cats:  Jack, Sven and El  (ode to Stranger Things!) I enjoy reading, playing video games (I'm a kid at heart!), making jewelry and watching my daughter do competitive dance and go to BC games as my daughter is also on the Spiritline team. 

 

 I am so thrilled to be teaching 7th grade social studies again this year!  I can not wait to work with and make connections with my new students.  I firmly believe that learning is best achieved in a safe, loving and positive environment and I encourage my students to take risks and work together as a supportive community.  I also hope that my students will find learning our world's history as fascinating as I find it!
