Welcome to Mountain Shadows Gifted Program!!!
My name is Shaunne McKinley and I am excited to be apart of your child’s educational journey. I have taught in the Deer Valley school district for 20 years.
My husband and I are Chicago natives and have lived in Arizona for over 30 years. We have two adult sons and a granddaughter. I enjoy the performing arts, all types of sports, relaxing with a good book and shopping.
The Gifted classroom will be an environment for creativity, support and caring between parents, students and teacher. I want all my students to take learning risks and develop a strong self-esteem. I will model and reinforce life skills which includes the Leader in Me program and character traits of trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship to help the students be the best and do their best at all times.
