• To my incoming 7th and 8th graders,

    7th Grade Social Studies

Welcome to 7th grade Social Studies! This year our focus will be on world history, starting with the mid 17th century period and making our way through to present-day history. Some periods we will go over this year are the enlightenment, World War I and II, the Cold War, and many more.

    8th Grade Social Studies

Welcome to 8th grade Social Studies! This is a pivotal and exciting year for you as you all take the final step before becoming high schoolers. This year our focus is on U.S. Civics and Government. We will be focusing on topics such as the duties of citizens, digging into historical documents of the United States, and will lightly touch on economics! My goal is to not only help you all learn about Civics and Government, but equip you with knowledge, tools, and prepare you as you prepare yourselves for high school.

7th and 8th Grade Social Studies

My personal goal for this year is to bring an engaging, interactive, and fun approach to teaching Social Studies. As a student, be prepared to work with classmates, collaborate, be engaged, and interact in various games or activities throughout the year.

    Classroom Environment

My classroom is to be a welcoming, safe, and inclusive space for every student that walks into my room. Every student will be treated with respect and there is no room for unwelcoming behavior from peers. I ask that every student is open-minded to other student's ideas or opinions without any judgement, allowing students to share their thoughts. This will be outlined further when reviewing the syllabus in the first week of school.

Assessment, Grading, Late Work, and More

Everything as far as grading to late work to assessments will be covered in depth on the syllabus which will be eventually uploaded to my web page during the first week of school.

    Parent Contact
