• Hello Parents, Guardians, and Students!

My name is Mrs. Marcy Labedz.  I am excited about being your Fourth Grade teacher this year.  This is my second year at Arrowhead Elementary.  In November of 2021, I started working at Arrowhead as a long-term substitute teacher in 6th grade and then in 5th grade.  In 1999, I graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Management.  In 2001, I graduated from The John Marshall Law School with a Juris Doctor Degree in Law.  Prior to teaching, I worked as an attorney in the Law Offices of Kurowski-Labedz LLC, running my own law practice, as well as a Prosecutor and Defense Attorney for the City of Chicago.

I was born in Jaslo, Poland and moved to the United States when I was 6 years old.  I grew up in the Chicagoland area.  I speak Polish.  I am married and have 2 children:  Joanna and Joseph.  In January 2020, we moved to Arizona.  After becoming involved in the PTO and working as a substitute teacher at Arrowhead Elementary, I decided that nothing makes me happier than to share my knowledge, skills, and life experiences with my students.  In my spare time, I love to travel, read, study, volunteer, and spend time with my family.

I look forward to working with you this year, as we experience another year of excellent learning!
